Lead Security Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Engineer to join our growing team in Baltimore, MD. This role is critical in protecting our organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing.
• Respond to security incidents and manage remediation efforts.
• Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in information security.
• Proven experience with security architecture and design.
• Expertise in network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
