Job Description:

In your role as a Lead Software Architect on Crowe's Digital Audit product team, you will be instrumental in transforming audit services for the future. You will oversee the architecture of a cloud-native platform, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and technology leaders to implement scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

Your expertise in software development, combined with a strong leadership presence within a scaled Agile environment, is crucial. You will advocate for the strategic integration of AI in the platform while mentoring your teams for responsible software delivery.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Digital Audit product team to design and enhance the platform using the Microsoft technology stack and Azure.
  • Define and maintain the architectural direction through a clear technical roadmap, demonstrating the business value of architectural investments.
  • Work with Product Leadership to refine epics and features, ensuring that they are technically feasible and scalable.
  • Ensure a robust architectural runway that enables continuous and predictable value delivery from teams.
  • Lead by example in the adoption of AI-powered development tools, enhancing productivity and code quality across the team.
  • Embed quality, security, and performance considerations early in the development process.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and other technology teams to meet firmwide standards for security and reliability.
  • Explore emerging technologies and provide guidance when new approaches add significant value.
  • Proactively track and reduce technical debt to maintain a healthy and adaptable platform.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams, elevating design quality and engineering practices.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise or SaaS applications with the Microsoft technology stack and .NET.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data modeling and business intelligence.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript.
  • Proven track record leading cloud-first development initiatives on Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with AI solutions, including Azure Document Intelligence and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Experience in architecting within a scaled Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for work item management and version control with Git.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles and deployment automation; experience with Azure DevOps pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Experience in complex software projects requiring cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in Financial or Accounting data.
  • Experience with Power BI and large-scale data analytics.
  • Familiarity with Synapse.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include Azure, Microsoft development, or other relevant credentials.

The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets and experience, with a reasonable estimate of $129,500.00 - $325,500.00 per year.
