Your Role

As a Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d) with Agentic Coding Skills, you will bring modern AI-powered development tools into customer projects – and demonstrate how Agentic Coding accelerates and improves the quality of the entire software engineering process. Using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code as daily tools, you will not only develop high-quality software but also coach your team and actively shape how QualityMinds drives the AI transformation in software development. In the spirit of "Quality from the beginning," you will ensure that architectural decisions, code, and AI workflows align – sustainably, securely, and customer-centrically.

Responsibilities

• You analyze and evaluate existing systems and architectures and derive improvement measures.
• You design demand-oriented software architectures and coordinate them with our customers both remotely and on-site.
• You develop high-performance software according to customer-specific requirements and make architectural decisions collaboratively with the project team.
• You enjoy contributing to sales in a consulting environment and actively developing customer relationships.
• You actively use Agentic-Coding workflows in daily development work – with tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code – and continuously improve development speed and code quality.
• You implement specified applications and deployments according to agile principles.
• You are responsible for direct exchange and knowledge transfer as well as development around our tech stack – including AI tools in the company.
• You coach your colleagues actively in using Agentic-Coding tools and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• You have a degree or training in computer science or a related field (interdisciplinary background is welcome).
• You have many years of practical experience in software development and confidently take responsibility for architecture and technical decisions.
• You have profound knowledge of current technologies and frameworks (including Java EE, Spring, Angular, REST).
• You have practical experience with AI-supported development environments, especially GitHub Copilot (Chat, Edits, Agent Mode) and/or Claude Code.
• You use LLMs specifically – e.g., for code generation, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and code reviews.
• You understand and effectively use Agentic-Coding patterns.
• You critically evaluate AI-generated code with a focus on correctness, security vulnerabilities, technical debt, and architectural fit.
• You create and maintain AI configuration files to control coding agents on a project-specific basis.
• You continuously evaluate new AI tools and models and establish their sensible use in the team.
• You are characterized by strong communication skills, enjoyment of direct exchange, and a high degree of flexibility.
• You enjoy discovering new things, sharing your expertise, and applying it where it is needed.
• You have very good German and English language skills.
