As a key player, you will contribute to projects that expand our portfolio of products and technologies while gaining invaluable experience in unmanned maritime systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to design, implement, test, document, and maintain software across various programming languages within Linux, Windows, and Embedded environments.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering to create innovative solutions for challenging scenarios.
  • Assist in software modeling, simulation, integration, and testing activities as required.
  • Develop and present technical concepts, analyses, and performance estimates.
  • Engage in the full software product lifecycle: development, prototyping, integration, verification, delivery, and support.
  • Participate in technical reviews and team status updates.
  • Foster collaboration and communication with internal and potentially external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company standard operating procedures and quality management systems.

Compensation Range

  • Quincy, MA: $138,900 - $180,600
  • Cranston, RI: $127,300 - $165,500

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with over 8 years of experience in advanced software development, or a Master's degree with over 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++ and Python.
  • Scripting languages such as Linux/Unix Shells, Matlab, etc.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse, GNU, VS Code, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Arduino.
  • Experience with version control systems like SVN and Git.
  • Skilled in issue tracking via Jira or similar tools.
  • Competency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience in agile development, specifically Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with virtual machine technologies.
  • Strong foundation in industry-standard software design methods including configuration control, tradeoffs, analyses, and requirement specifications.
  • A proven software product development background showcasing engineering aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively address issues during the design, development, and execution of software engineering tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective team contributor.
  • Able to work independently to meet technical and project requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally, as project demands arise.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience with U.S. defense programs is highly desirable.
  • Experience in developing solutions for Naval and Marine applications, including robotics, is a plus.
  • Experience with bare-metal embedded software development.
