This company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to manage a team of 4 people.

As a lead, you will be responsible for:

• The scientific engine in Python for a business use case
• Processes enabling each software engineer to achieve excellence

Main Missions

• Contribute directly to the code (in solo, in binôme or in group)
• Organize feedback sessions (REX) to share knowledge
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices
• Present progress and objectives
• Contribute to the technical roadmap (architecture, design documents)
• Supervise and coach the team to deliver according to the roadmap

Bring your expertise to help the team to:

• Develop, optimize, and evolve software for:
  • Risk model calculation
  • Data collection, preparation, and visualization
  • Export of results adapted to users
  • Testing and validation of existing solutions
  • Monitoring of contracts and associated data
• Maintain and improve tools related to:
  • Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
  • Data storage
  • Version management (scripts, code, systems)
  • Modularization and containerization
  • Connections to internal and external APIs

Also participate in:

• Analysis and definition of user needs
• Contract risk modeling
• Technical solution choices
• Exchanges with IT partners
• Upskilling teams
• Managing access and rights on internal tools

Recruitment Process

• Step 1: HR call and interview.
• Step 2: Technical project to submit via GitHub + technical interview
• Step 3: Interview with the manager
• Step 4: Final interview with the team

Candidate Profile

Management

• At least 1 year of technical management experience
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams
• Experience in accompanying engineers (mentoring, complex problem solving, best practices)
• Ability to define technical priorities according to the roadmap
• Excellent communication in French and English

Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Scientist
• Solid proficiency in Python
• Solid scientific background (computer science, mathematics, physics, earth sciences)
• Experience in Python optimization and profiling
• Experience in microservices architecture
• Good command of Docker
• Good knowledge of production development practices (code review, Git, TDD)
• Bilingual French / English
