Position Overview

The Solution Architect (SA) is a leadership role responsible for managing multiple sales opportunities and account teams/programs. The SA provides sales and solution assurance for clients through solution design, account interaction, service design development, and practice pipeline responsibilities. The SA is a key member of the ServiceNow implementation project team, responsible for overall application design and mapping client business requirements to technical requirements.

This role may require up to 25% travel.

Key Accountabilities and Priorities

Solution Development

• Understand customers’ business and technical requirements.
• Develop and mature solution design by collaborating with customers and stakeholders.
• Facilitate internal communication and assemble delivery teams for new engagements.
• Consolidate solution status and costing information.
• Address and communicate sales/solution escalation procedures.
• Implement knowledge management strategy and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Manage sales/solutions risk and opportunity issues.
• Coordinate solution change control process.

Practice & Product Line Management

• Perform practice pipeline and opportunity analysis, product line review, and solution health checks.
• Establish ongoing relationships with customers and account team members.
• Refine practice pipeline and product line attributes based on metrics and market fit.
• Support account strategy development and execution.

Management Responsibilities

• Manage customer requirements to ensure contract understanding and acceptance.
• Ensure solution methodology is understood from opportunity assessment to project closeout.
• Financial and contractual responsibility for engagement profitability.
• Identify and support pursuit of additional business opportunities.
• Ensure sales and solutions management methodology is followed.
• Mentor, manage, and develop team members (3 to 10 members).
• Conduct annual reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and executed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years in IT and/or professional services with significant ServiceNow experience.
• Experience delivering projects/programs and managing client professional services agreements.
• Frequent interactions with external customers at Director level or above, including CXO level.
• 7+ years in IT service management/project management within professional services or equivalent.
• IT experience including Consultant, Architect, Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst, Development, or related roles.
• ITIL Expert Certification desired but not required.
• Understanding of Services Outsourcing and Project Management.
• ServiceNow certifications: Certified Implementation Specialist, Certified Architect, Certified Application Developer, or equivalent.
• Ability to develop, market, and sell services and products.

Additional Information

• This is a permanent, fully remote position based out of Baltimore, MD.
• Salary range: $160,000 - $225,000 per year.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.
