We are seeking a passionate Talent Acquisition Specialist to become an integral part of our Talent Acquisition team!
Reporting directly to the Recruiting Team Leader, the Talent Acquisition Specialist focuses on sourcing, engaging, and attracting exceptional technical and specialized talent to support PNNL's mission. In this role, you will connect with potential candidates, forge and maintain proactive talent pipelines, conduct initial screenings, facilitate interview setups, manage our candidate database, and track conversion metrics.
This role requires close collaboration with recruiters and hiring leaders, leveraging strong sourcing expertise and a curiosity about PNNL’s cutting-edge research environment. You'll be expected to leverage innovative sourcing techniques to create diverse talent pools, utilize data for market and talent insights, and serve as a strategic partner in the organization.
This position offers On-site/Hybrid flexibility – Richland, WA is preferred!
Responsibilities
- Utilize AI-driven sourcing tools and talent intelligence platforms to enhance efficiency while ensuring a personalized candidate approach.
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring leaders to align on evolving hiring needs and influence talent strategies in a fast-changing environment.
- Identify qualified candidates using advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches and various platforms.
- Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies for both technical and professional roles.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines through strategic market research and ongoing engagement with passive candidates.
- Continuously monitor sourcing effectiveness and labor market trends to refine outreach strategies and improve hiring outcomes.
- Engage candidates through targeted messaging and diverse outreach strategies, both digitally and in-person.
- Keep stakeholders informed on recruiting efforts with regular updates.
- Screen candidates for technical fit and alignment with PNNL's mission.
- Coordinate candidate interviews with hiring leaders and recruiters.
- Promote PNNL's employer brand effectively across various platforms.
- Prepare insightful presentations and reports regarding sourcing performance and market intelligence.
- Analyze pipeline metrics to assess and enhance sourcing strategies.
- Ensure all candidate records are accurately maintained within the applicant tracking system.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving sourcing operations and collaboration.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven expertise in integrating AI-enabled sourcing technologies and methodologies into recruitment workflows while prioritizing candidate experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate and articulate PNNL's mission to candidates.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret talent data and market trends.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills for influencing stakeholders.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills to handle multiple complex searches.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Fostering collaborative, team-oriented relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills to enhance candidate conversion and hiring outcomes.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and standard business software.
- Understanding of EEO principles.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant Talent Sourcing experience or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience in performing dedicated technical sourcing for specialized roles with advanced proficiency in sourcing techniques.
- Experience using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or similar platforms.
- Experience in talent mapping and market research to guide sourcing strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven success using AI-enabled sourcing tools.
- Experience in sourcing for niche technical roles.
- Certification or training in advanced sourcing methodologies.
