About the role

Our client is a leading recruitment consultancy seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Technical Recruiter to join their dynamic team. This position is based in **Calabar, Cross River, NG**, and will focus on sourcing, attracting, and placing top-tier talent within the engineering and information technology sectors across Nigeria and beyond. The successful candidate will leverage extensive experience in technical recruitment, possess a deep understanding of the tech landscape, and demonstrate exceptional ability in building strong relationships with both clients and candidates.

Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify passive and active candidates for highly specialized technical roles. Conduct thorough candidate screenings, including technical assessments, behavioral interviews, and reference checks. Partner closely with hiring managers and clients to understand their talent needs and provide expert market insights. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job requisition to offer negotiation and onboarding. Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for critical engineering and IT skill sets. Mentor and guide junior recruitment consultants within the team. Develop and deliver compelling employer branding initiatives to attract top talent. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical recruiting. Analyze recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on key performance indicators. Contribute to the strategic development of the recruitment consultancy's service offerings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical recruitment, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior capacity. Proven success in recruiting for roles such as Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, and similar technical positions. In-depth knowledge of various recruitment tools, platforms, and applicant tracking systems (ATS). Exceptional understanding of the technology industry and its talent market dynamics. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport quickly. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the Calabar region or surrounding areas is advantageous. Must be comfortable working in a fully remote capacity, demonstrating self-discipline and effective remote collaboration.
