About the role
Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to build and scale their engineering teams. This is a pivotal, fully remote role where you will have the opportunity to shape the talent acquisition strategy for key technical positions across the organization. You will leverage your expertise in sourcing, engaging, and closing top-tier tech talent in a competitive market. This is a remote-first position, empowering you to work from anywhere within Nigeria.
Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and attract passive and active candidates for a variety of technical roles, including software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps specialists. Partner closely with hiring managers and engineering leadership to deeply understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and the company's strategic talent needs. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial candidate engagement and screening through to offer negotiation and onboarding. Build and nurture a strong pipeline of qualified technical talent for current and future hiring needs. Utilize various recruitment tools and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and niche job boards, to optimize outreach and candidate experience. Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process, ensuring equitable opportunities for all candidates. Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing a superior candidate experience. Analyze recruitment data and metrics to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve recruitment processes. Mentor and guide junior recruiters, fostering a collaborative and high-performing talent acquisition team. Stay abreast of market trends, compensation benchmarks, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights to leadership. Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract top talent. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical recruitment, with a proven track record of successfully placing engineering and tech roles. Demonstrated expertise in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and assessment techniques for technical positions. In-depth knowledge of the technology landscape and common tech stacks. Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is essential. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices. Experience in leading or mentoring recruitment teams is highly desirable.
