As part of the Underground Structures and Geotechnical Excellence team at WSP, you will play a crucial role in overseeing complex geotechnical design. This senior position involves working on varied projects across Ontario and Québec, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring engineering integrity through advanced design practices. You will contribute to sustainable infrastructure solutions that serve communities for years to come.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee advanced geotechnical design for excavations
- Provide technical authority and risk-informed decision-making
- Validate geotechnical parameters for underground designs
- Review and approve design reports and specifications
- Mentor engineers, sharing expertise and fostering growth
Requirements
- P.Eng. designation in Civil or Geological Engineering
- 15+ years in geotechnical and underground projects
- Advanced skills in numerical modeling and geotechnical software
- Knowledge of Canadian engineering standards and guidelines
- Experience with hydroelectric or major infrastructure projects
