Lead UI/UX Designer - Mobile Applications

Our client, an innovative technology startup revolutionizing the fintech space, is seeking a talented and visionary Lead UI/UX Designer to spearhead the design of their next-generation mobile applications. This fully remote position offers the chance to shape the user experience of products used by millions. You will be responsible for translating complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning interfaces. Working closely with product managers, developers, and other designers, you will drive the entire design process from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and final asset delivery.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the UI/UX design process for our suite of mobile applications, ensuring a cohesive and delightful user experience across all platforms (iOS and Android). Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Translate research findings and user feedback into user personas, user journeys, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Develop high-fidelity visual designs and design systems that adhere to brand guidelines and establish a consistent aesthetic. Create intuitive navigation flows and engaging interaction designs that enhance user engagement and task completion. Collaborate closely with product management to define product requirements and translate them into compelling user experiences. Work hand-in-hand with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs, providing detailed specifications and assets. Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization, advocating for the user in all product decisions. Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative design environment. Stay ahead of the curve on the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile design. Conduct A/B testing and analyze user data to iterate and optimize designs for maximum effectiveness and user satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile application designs. Demonstrated experience leading design projects and mentoring design teams. Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar. Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, and mobile interaction design patterns. Experience conducting various forms of user research and usability testing. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams. Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of typography, color, and layout. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively. Experience designing for both iOS and Android platforms is essential.
