Lead Developer

We're Softethix, a small independent studio making NIMH — a 3D action-stealth game built around movement, tension, and precision.

Our vertical slice is done. We're entering full production and need a nimble lead developer who can move fast, own systems end-to-end, care deeply about how a game feels, and effectively lead a small dev team.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Gameplay. Period.
• Enemy AI and behavior trees
• Animation integration and blend tree logic
• Camera systems and player-feel polish
• Performance and collision across PC and Nintendo Switch 2

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong Unity + C# with experience in 3D game development
• You can speak intelligently about media and games like Hitman, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Splinter Cell, Fatal Frame, and Michigan: Report From Hell
• You are comfortable picking up an existing codebase independently
• You move between systems without being siloed
• You have a relationship with and can speak about AI. We aren't looking for a vibe coder...

CONTRACT TERMS

• 12-month contract starting June 2026
• $80,000 + (Based on Experience)
• NY residency will be prioritized
