About the Company and the Lease Accountant Opportunity:

CFS is partnering with a well-established and respected organization in the trucking industry is seeking a Lease Accountant. This company is known for its long-standing presence in the market, commitment to customer service, and supportive, team-oriented culture.

The Lease Accountant will work closely with an experienced accounting team and collaborate with multiple departments, making this an excellent role for someone who enjoys variety, learning, and hands-on accounting work

This role offers excellent exposure to the operational side of accounting in a fast-paced, asset-heavy environment while still maintaining predictable hours and strong leadership support

Schedule:

100% on site in Halethorpe, MD. 8am-6pm Monday-Friday (with some flexibility as needed)

Reports directly to the Controller

Ideal start date: Week of April 20, 2026

Overview of the Lease Accountant role:

• Perform accounting functions supporting a fleet of 500+ trucks
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Reconcile proceeds from national customer accounts
• Maintain records related to depreciation and amortization
• Process customer credit applications
• Assist with preparation and submission of government tax filings
• Support cycle counts and verification of parts inventory
• Provide front desk coverage for approximately one hour per day

Qualifications for the Lease Accountant:

• 1+ years' accounting experience; Anyone from more recent college grads to more seasoned Accountants encouraged to apply!
• Prior experience in a dealership or transportation-related setting is a plus, but not required
• Proficient with Excel and Word
• Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Customer-service mindset and strong communication skills

Salary:

$50,000-$60,000 depending heavily on experience
