Position Overview

The Legal Recruitment Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives by assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of talented lawyers. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Managers, you will ensure an efficient hiring process by coordinating interviews and maintaining candidate records through our application tracking system. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities. Prior experience in legal recruiting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a vital member of a national recruiting team, facilitating the growth of a designated practice group across all lawyer hiring levels.
  • Handle all aspects of the full life cycle for lateral candidates, including job requisition creation, candidate file maintenance within the applicant tracking system, interview scheduling, candidate feedback collection, and offer letter preparation.
  • Communicate directly with search agency partners, candidate associates, partner candidates, and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage high volumes of interviews while overseeing conflict checks and background checks, collaborating with Talent Acquisition Managers on special initiatives.
  • Generate informational reports regarding recruitment for the business and HR leadership teams.
  • Process timely vendor invoice payments related to recruitment expenses and maintain thorough records.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to new agency relations agreements.
  • During summer months, support practice groups with summer associate reviews by collecting evaluations and planning the practice group summer associate summit, among other administrative duties.
  • Enhance the recruiting brand by ensuring an exceptional experience for all candidates.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables and analytics), and Workday is important. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to learn new recruiting or HR software platforms. Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in legal recruiting or a related environment is required.

Physical Requirements

This role involves sedentary work, including prolonged periods of sitting, as well as occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

This position may allow for a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and in-office work, which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager and may be modified in the future.

Compensation

The expected hiring range for this position is $34.09 - $53.19 per hour, contingent on the candidate’s geographic market location and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.
