About the Position

For an internationally active and technologically demanding company in mechanical and plant engineering, based in NRW, I am looking for an experienced leader for the confidential filling of the position to lead mechanical engineering.

This position is aimed at candidates who not only want to lead but also actively develop and sustainably shape the engineering sector – both operationally and strategically.

Your Task:

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of designers and technical product designers
• Responsibility for the development and design of complex technical systems and plants
• Further development of design standards, methods, and modular approaches
• Close collaboration with adjacent areas such as production, purchasing, project management, and sales
• Support of international customer projects from the concept phase to implementation
• Contribution to the strategic further development of the engineering sector

Your Profile:

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or comparable
• Several years of leadership experience in design/engineering in mechanical and plant engineering
• Experience in the development of complex, customer-specific technical solutions
• Structured way of working and experience with standardized or modular design approaches
• Strong communication and interface skills
• Fluent German and good English skills
