Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled LIMS Business System Analyst to bridge the gap between laboratory operations and IT systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), business analysis, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful implementation, enhancement, and support of LIMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business stakeholders, lab users, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for LIMS solutions. • Support implementation, configuration, and integration of LIMS systems (e.g., LabWare, STARLIMS, LabVantage). • Perform system testing, validation (CSV), and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Create and maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, SOPs, and workflows. • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements. • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, and IT to ensure system efficiency. • Conduct user training and support change management initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience as a Business/System Analyst in LIMS or laboratory systems. • Hands-on experience with LIMS platforms such as LabWare, STARLIMS, LabVantage, or similar. • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows (QA/QC, R&D, manufacturing labs). • Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and regulatory compliance. • Proficiency in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience with SQL, data analysis, or system integrations is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments. • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies. • Knowledge of integration tools, APIs, or middleware platforms.
