We are looking for our client in Donauwörth for a technical translator (m/f/d) with at least 3 years of experience with CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation, currently Trados Studio and MultiTerm), preferably in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Management of projects and linguistic activities in the area of Aircraft Technical Services (work package management)
• Communication with various stakeholders (internal customers, suppliers, and others)
• Translation of technical documentation into the core languages of Airbus Helicopters (EN, ES, DE, FR), including service bulletins, maintenance manuals, and flight manuals, when this must be done internally due to export control regulations
• Proofreading of technical documentation (EN, ES, DE, FR)
• Quality assurance of technical documentation
• Ensuring terminology consistency throughout the creation and translation process
• Monitoring and optimizing the internal terminology database
• Support of projects such as Simplified Technical English, Linguistic Support, or Artificial Intelligence in authoring and/or translation environments
• Regular analysis and evaluation of potential risks and opportunities
• Improvement of internal processes (continuous improvement)

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in technical translation and with CAT tools
• Business fluent German, English, and Spanish (C1)
• Advanced French skills are an advantage
• Completed studies in Languages / Linguistics
• Experience in project management of multilingual translation projects
• Experience with Simplified Technical English
• Customer orientation and teamwork skills
