Linux Systems Engineer – Yocto / Kairos

About

We are looking for an Linux Systems Engineer with strong Yocto or Kairos experience to help build the next generation of edge computing platforms.

This is a development-focused role, working on custom operating systems and platform software, rather than traditional Linux administration. You will work closely with hardware and platform teams to develop and optimise systems powering distributed edge devices.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and customise embedded OS platforms using Yocto and/or Kairos
• Build and maintain custom OS images for edge devices
• Work with hardware teams to integrate operating systems with device platforms
• Develop automation for system builds and deployments
• Optimise systems for performance and reliability in edge environments

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with Yocto and/or Kairos
• Background in embedded systems or platform development
• Experience building custom operating systems or embedded Linux distributions
• Strong scripting or programming experience (C/C++, Go, Python, or shell)
