About the role

About

Do you want to work on a scalable Linux infrastructure and contribute to education and research? As a Linux Engineer, you will work with your team on a reliable and automated environment and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tooling. You don't have to be an expert in everything yet: we find it important that you already have (partial) experience and are motivated to learn more.

What will you do?

As a Linux Engineer, you design, automate, and manage the Linux infrastructure. You collaborate with colleagues on a stable and future-proof environment. You identify opportunities for improvement and develop them into concrete solutions. You work in a team that actively shares knowledge and works together on continuously improving technology and working methods.

Depending on your experience, you will work on:

  • Developing and maintaining automation with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
  • Managing and optimizing Linux environments (Red Hat and Ubuntu)
  • Designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift)
  • Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
  • Testing infrastructure-as-code with tools like Molecule for Ansible
  • Further developing DevOps practices and automation standards

You will work in the System Team Infrastructure with approximately thirty colleagues and help build a stable and future-proof IT environment according to agile working methods. In the DevOps team, you work together, take responsibility, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tooling. There is room for innovation, development, and personal initiative.
