Linux System Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned engineer with a strong background in Linux/UNIX systems administration and infrastructure automation. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, supporting enterprise infrastructure and security initiatives while taking full ownership of projects from design through implementation.

The ideal candidate brings deep OS-level expertise, strong automation skills (Ansible AAP2), and the ability to work cross-functionally in a large corporate environment. This individual will step into active initiatives, stabilize ownership, and act as a senior technical lead focused on infrastructure outcomes. The successful candidate will be on site in Toronto one day a week minimum.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration
• Strong Ansible automation experience, specifically Ansible Automation Platform 2.x
• Experience working in large enterprise or corporate environments
• Proven ability to independently own and deliver infrastructure projects
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and automation-first practices
• Familiarity with monitoring and ITSM tools (Dynatrace, Nagios, ServiceNow)
• 8+ years of enterprise infrastructure or architecture experience
