These tasks await you:

• Concept, design, and implementation of secure Linux-based platform infrastructures with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and security
• Responsibility for the further development of the operating system architecture for use in various product platforms
• Creation and maintenance of system concepts at the system level, including interface management, in close coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Development and integration of product features and individual software components within the platform architecture
• Creation, maintenance, and upkeep of Linux-based operating system images for use in cross-platform system environments
• Evaluation, selection, and introduction of new technologies for the continuous further development of the platform infrastructure
• Close coordination with development teams and systems engineering to coordinate technical dependencies and system integrations

What you should bring:

• In-depth knowledge in the development and adaptation of Linux/Unix-based systems
• Knowledge in the use of the Yocto/bitbake embedded Linux build system
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical degree program
• In-depth knowledge in the development and adaptation of Linux/Unix-based systems, ideally with a focus on Yocto environments
• Very good knowledge of Python and Bash scripting, as well as confident handling of Linux and Unix systems
• Knowledge in software development with C/C++ is an advantage
• Knowledge in handling IT security in the Linux environment, such as SELinux, App Armor, hardening, or secure system configurations, is an advantage
• Knowledge in handling container technologies, such as Kubernetes or Podman, is an advantage
• Experience in vulnerability management (CVE analysis) and in evaluating software components regarding security risks is an advantage
• Experience with CI/CD and automated build/test pipelines, preferably in the GitLab environment, is an advantage
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
