About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Linux Developer with Automotive Infotainment domain experience to join our team supporting Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux-based embedded systems and hands-on development experience within automotive infotainment platforms. This role involves developing, integrating, and optimizing software components for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications for automotive infotainment systems.
- Work on system-level programming, middleware integration, and device driver interaction.
- Customize and optimize Linux kernel and board support packages (BSP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, HMI, and system validation teams.
- Debug and resolve system-level issues related to performance, memory, boot time, and stability.
- Support integration of multimedia components (Audio, Video, Bluetooth, Connectivity).
- Work with CAN, Ethernet, and other automotive communication protocols.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and coding guidelines.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Embedded Linux development.
- Experience in Automotive Infotainment (IVI) domain.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, and BSP customization.
- Knowledge of Yocto, Buildroot, or similar build systems.
- Strong debugging skills using tools like GDB, Valgrind, and system logs.
- Familiarity with multimedia frameworks (ALSA, GStreamer, etc.).
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR or Adaptive AUTOSAR (good to have).
- Familiarity with Android Automotive or QNX (plus).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based version control.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in an onsite customer environment.
