About the Role

The Learning Management System (LMS) Manager of the Continuing Education (CE) Marketplace is responsible for the administration of the LMS platform and execution of the strategic direction of a centralized content catalog that includes content developed by FINRA, other SROs, and third‑party providers. This role involves developing and executing a strategy to optimize the experience of different LMS users; cataloging and tagging FINRA’s e‑Learning courses and external training content; managing the process of preparing course content for learners; and collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate onboarding of LMS clients and content providers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and execute an LMS strategy to optimize development, display, cataloging, and repository management of content for Regulatory Element, Practical Element, FINRA’s e‑Learning courses, FINRA’s client programs, and third‑party providers.
  • Manage the course publication calendar to ensure timely publication of courses supporting FINRA’s CE Programs and client programs, negotiating schedules and milestones with e‑Learning developers and content managers.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate technology integration, maintenance, and implementation of LMS platform updates/upgrades that drive continuous improvement and enhancements to the CE Marketplace and user experience.
  • Collaborate with the Client Relationship Manager on strategic methods to assess stakeholder satisfaction of the CE Marketplace.
  • Work with colleagues in designing and implementing course features to increase learner engagement and effectiveness, including activities, assessment types, content display, and interactive elements.
  • Provide technical and functional support with the LMS Analyst in ongoing LMS administration to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage payment‑related activities in collaboration with the LMS Analyst and FINRA Finance for payments received from external stakeholders.
  • Produce, analyze, and distribute LMS performance reports covering enrollment, usage, course completion, and other relevant interactions.
  • Organize and lead routine audits of learning content within the LMS to ensure performance, quality assurance, and compliance with established standards.
  • Demonstrate FINRA’s values and collaborate—both in‑person and virtually—in furtherance of FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Technology, Information Systems, Training and Development, Project Management, or a related field, plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience in LMS functional areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to deal effectively with people, assist with decision making, and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including SQL and HTML, is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment with defined in‑person presence requirements.
  • Extended hours outside of normal business hours as needed.

Compensation (Location‑Based Salary Ranges)

  • CO/FL/TX: $83,900 – $150,300
  • IL/PA: $92,400 – $165,300
  • MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC: $96,600 – $172,800
  • NY/NJ: $96,600 – $180,400

Actual compensation is based on factors such as skill set, experience, education, and market considerations.
