E Mortgage Capital, Inc.

Santa Ana · On-site Full-time $40k – $65k/yr 1mo ago

About the role

Position Summary

The Loan Officer Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, engaging, and closing loan officers and mortgage teams to join E Mortgage Capital. You will build relationships with producing LOs, represent the company at industry events, and guide new hires through onboarding — helping them hit the ground running from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Source and recruit active and passive loan officers, branch managers, and producing teams
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and referral networks to engage prospective LOs
  • Present E Mortgage Capital's value proposition — compensation model, products, support, and culture — to candidates
  • Manage candidates through the full recruiting cycle from first contact to signed offer
  • Maintain an active pipeline of LO prospects and follow up consistently to move conversations forward

Relationship Building

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with loan officers, even those not immediately ready to make a move
  • Stay in regular contact with prospects through calls, texts, coffee meetings, and industry touchpoints
  • Develop a strong referral network by maintaining genuine relationships across the mortgage community
  • Understand what matters most to each LO — whether that's comp, leads, technology, or culture — and tailor conversations accordingly

Events & Brand Representation

  • Attend mortgage industry events, conferences, and association meetings to network and represent E Mortgage Capital
  • Host and participate in recruiting events, lunch-and-learns, and informational sessions for prospective LOs
  • Actively promote E Mortgage Capital's brand on social media and within local mortgage communities

Onboarding & Training

  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for newly hired loan officers and teams to ensure a smooth transition
  • Walk new hires through systems, processes, products, and internal resources
  • Serve as a go-to resource during the first 90 days, helping new LOs get set up and producing quickly
  • Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience

Qualifications

  • Experience in mortgage recruiting, LO sales, or a loan officer role strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, LO compensation structures, and what drives producer decisions
  • Strong communicator with a natural ability to build rapport and trust quickly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a high volume of outreach
  • Comfortable attending events and representing the company in professional settings
  • Familiarity with NMLS licensing and mortgage industry terminology
