About the role
Position Summary
The Loan Officer Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, engaging, and closing loan officers and mortgage teams to join E Mortgage Capital. You will build relationships with producing LOs, represent the company at industry events, and guide new hires through onboarding — helping them hit the ground running from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Source and recruit active and passive loan officers, branch managers, and producing teams
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and referral networks to engage prospective LOs
- Present E Mortgage Capital's value proposition — compensation model, products, support, and culture — to candidates
- Manage candidates through the full recruiting cycle from first contact to signed offer
- Maintain an active pipeline of LO prospects and follow up consistently to move conversations forward
Relationship Building
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with loan officers, even those not immediately ready to make a move
- Stay in regular contact with prospects through calls, texts, coffee meetings, and industry touchpoints
- Develop a strong referral network by maintaining genuine relationships across the mortgage community
- Understand what matters most to each LO — whether that's comp, leads, technology, or culture — and tailor conversations accordingly
Events & Brand Representation
- Attend mortgage industry events, conferences, and association meetings to network and represent E Mortgage Capital
- Host and participate in recruiting events, lunch-and-learns, and informational sessions for prospective LOs
- Actively promote E Mortgage Capital's brand on social media and within local mortgage communities
Onboarding & Training
- Facilitate onboarding sessions for newly hired loan officers and teams to ensure a smooth transition
- Walk new hires through systems, processes, products, and internal resources
- Serve as a go-to resource during the first 90 days, helping new LOs get set up and producing quickly
- Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience
Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage recruiting, LO sales, or a loan officer role strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, LO compensation structures, and what drives producer decisions
- Strong communicator with a natural ability to build rapport and trust quickly
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a high volume of outreach
- Comfortable attending events and representing the company in professional settings
- Familiarity with NMLS licensing and mortgage industry terminology
Pay
$40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
