M&A Associate / Analyst Renewable Energy (m/w/d) – Vollzeit

About Us

METZ Energy Consulting is a specialized M&A consulting boutique focusing on renewable energy. We support transactions throughout the entire project cycle – from development through financing to exit.

Our mandates include projects in the following areas:

• Solar and wind farms
• Battery storage systems (BESS)
• Infrastructure

We work on the buy-side and sell-side, supporting investors, project developers, and EPCs in complex transactions in the European energy market.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an M&A Associate / Analyst (m/f/d).

Your Responsibilities

• Participate in and independently handle buy-side and sell-side transactions
• Conduct market, competitor, and company analyses in the renewable energy sector
• Create and further develop:
  • Financial models (DCF, scenarios, sensitivities)
  • Information Memoranda and Teasers
  • Pitch and investor presentations
• Support and coordinate due diligence processes
• Direct collaboration with investors and project developers

Your Profile

• Very good university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a comparable field
• 1–3 years of professional experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, or Investment Banking
• Transaction experience in the renewable energy sector
• Very good analytical and quantitative skills, proficient in financial modeling (DCF, LBO, project finance models)
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong interest in the energy transition and renewable energies
• Independent, structured, and entrepreneurial way of working
• Fluent German and English language skills
