M&A Manager / Senior Analyst – Corporate Development
Albert Cliff Limited
About the role
Overview
Our client is a premier, publicly traded international healthcare organization with a multi-decade track record of delivering high-quality, comprehensive care. Guided by a holistic approach to sustaining long-term health and wellbeing, the organization operates an expansive, integrated network of medical facilities. Their footprint spans hundreds of specialized clinics, inpatient hospitals, specialized diagnostics, mental health centers, and preventive wellness and fitness facilities across multiple geographies.
The firm is currently accelerating its strategic growth initiatives through targeted acquisitions, buy-and-build strategies, and platform expansion. To support this mandate, we are seeking to appoint an M&A Manager / Senior Analyst to join the Corporate Development team in Berlin. This role offers direct exposure to the end-to-end transaction lifecycle—from origination and structuring to execution and integration—within a highly resilient, asset-backed sector. The position is exceptionally well-suited for individuals with a rigorous analytical foundation and a strong thematic interest in the evolving healthcare landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive investment and acquisition analysis, including full financial modeling (DCF, synergy analysis, cash flow bridges, and valuation scenarios) across diverse healthcare and wellness verticals.
- Lead and manage individual workstreams in live transactions—coordinating external advisors (legal, financial, tax, commercial), driving comprehensive due diligence processes, and synthesizing findings into actionable Investment Committee materials.
- Support the formulation of buy-and-build strategies, actively screening bolt-on acquisition pipelines and evaluating strategic market entries aligned with the group’s overarching operational mission.
- Partner closely with cross-functional executive teams and regional leadership to assist in post-close integration planning, 100-day execution, and KPI tracking to ensure seamless operational alignment.
- Maintain internal deal pipelines, market intelligence databases, and knowledge-sharing tools, tracking sector consolidation trends and regulatory shifts to inform thematic origination efforts.
- Collaborate closely with senior corporate development leadership on broader capital allocation strategies, competitive positioning, and portfolio value creation.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in M&A advisory (boutique or mid-market investment banking), Big 4 Transaction Services / Corporate Finance, or an in-house Corporate Development team.
- Direct transaction exposure to the healthcare services, life sciences, or broader wellness sectors is heavily prioritized.
- Strong technical skill set, encompassing advanced fluency in Excel modeling, corporate valuation methods, and transaction structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to drive transaction processes from initial screening to closing, including complex due diligence management and stakeholder coordination.
- Commercial acumen and a track record of synthesizing complex business models and operational metrics into cohesive, board-level investment theses.
- Proactive, self-starter attitude with an ownership mindset, capable of working independently and navigating the ambiguities of complex corporate transactions.
- Natural team player with a low-ego, pragmatic approach and a readiness to collaborate across all levels of a multinational corporate structure.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German or other European languages is highly advantageous.
- University degree from a leading institution in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; further professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA) are welcomed but not required.
