MLOps Engineer (SWE-Focus)

Role Overview

We are looking for an MLOps Engineer who prioritises the "Ops" and Software Engineering (SWE) side of the lifecycle. While model development knowledge is expected, this role is specifically for someone who excels at building and supporting robust (web) applications that leverage AI/ML. You will be responsible for the infrastructure, backend integration, and industrialisation of our machine learning systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Production-Grade Backend: Architect and maintain high-performance backend systems (Go/Rust/Python) to serve and support ML models within web applications.
• SWE-Driven MLOps: Bridge the gap between data science and production by applying solid software engineering principles to the ML lifecycle.
• Deployment & Orchestration: Build, automate, and scale CI/CD pipelines, containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and model monitoring systems.

Requirements

• Experience: Strong professional background in Software Engineering or Backend Development.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python and either Go or Rust is highly desirable.
• Web Architecture: Proven experience with FastAPI, microservices, and building APIs that support AI features.
• ML Knowledge: Hands-on experience with model development and training lifecycles (though the primary focus is industrialisation).
