Maintenance & Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Maintenance Department in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. In this pivotal role, you will ensure optimal performance of all systems and equipment while leading administrative efforts for team members under your management. You will also be responsible for managing expense and overtime budgets effectively.

Salary Range: $90,816 - $126,991 Bonus Eligibility: Participation in a bonus plan with a target of 10% of base salary.

Final salary adjustments will consider experience, education, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors.

Key Responsibilities: • Ensure all systems and equipment are maintained in peak operational condition. • Revise and enhance the preventative maintenance program to accommodate the evolving demands for continuous operation. • Lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues. • Provide leadership and guidance to your team while communicating facility needs to management. • Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time and within-budget completion. • Develop maintenance and project budgets while forecasting spending requirements. • Create and implement effective training programs for staff cross-training. • Initiate, review and approve documentation such as change controls, specifications, risk assessments, work orders, standard operating procedures, and more, adhering to company policies. • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. • Recruit, develop, and lead staff effectively. • Define training needs for engineering staff and ensure implementation. • Review and approve deviation investigations. • Work independently with minimal supervision. • Collaborate with Environmental Management, Energy Management, and Occupational Health and Safety representatives to comply with ISO standards.

Requirements: • B.S. Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. • Strong understanding of utilities systems, including pumps, piping, boilers, and water treatment. • Experience with high-speed liquid filling and packing equipment. • Solid knowledge of electrical installation, power distribution, and wiring. • Comprehensive understanding of electronics, relays, controllers, and programmable logic controllers. • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems. • Proven history of effective troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, machine design/layout, utilities, piping, HVAC, and project management. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret various engineering drawings, including P&IDs.
