The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance programmes, emergency repairs, and ongoing improvements to the property. This includes overseeing infrastructure such as guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and staff facilities.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth daily operations with minimal disruption to guests. A strong focus on safety, compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, and environmentally responsible practices is essential.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across the lodge and grounds
• Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance plans
• Manage repairs, renovations, and emergency maintenance issues
• Control departmental budgets, expenses, and cost-saving initiatives
• Supervise and lead maintenance staff, including training and development
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers
• Ensure compliance with OHS, safety, and environmental standards
• Maintain equipment, tools, and asset registers
• Support all lodge departments to ensure seamless operations
• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Implement eco-friendly and energy-efficient initiatives
• Manage waste, safety systems, and emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate reports, logs, and maintenance records
