Management Accountant

A well-established family-owned group with diversified interests across wholesale and retail businesses is seeking an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant to join their team.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Executive, this role will take full ownership of the finance function within the production facility and play a key role in both operational and strategic financial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full management accounts function
• Prepare and review management accounts, flash results, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and forecasts
• Handle cashbook to trial balance, including VAT and PAYE returns
• Perform product costing and in-depth financial analysis
• Oversee weekly payroll management
• Conduct GL and control account reconciliations
• Provide accurate reporting and insightful financial analysis
• Supervise, mentor, and manage the Bookkeeper
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and corporate governance standards
• Assist the Group Finance Executive with corporate and strategic finance duties
• Liaise with SARS, IDC, suppliers, and group finance teams
• Approve supplier payments
• Support ad-hoc projects and assignments

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree; BCom preferred, Articles advantageous)
• 4–5 years’ experience managing a full set of accounts, preferably within a production/manufacturing environment

Pay range and compensation package

R480 000.00 - R540 000.00 per annum
