The Position
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Management Analyst (Business Operations)-Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $80,900.00 - $114,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Position Background
The Battlespace Division is a government organization comprised of four branches that are dedicated to providing enterprise level modeling and simulation (M&S) tools in support of warfighter training; test and evaluation (T&E); data analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. The tools include the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), the Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID), the Weapons Server Common Environment (WSCE), the Simulation Control Executive (SCE), the Simulation Debrief Tool (SDT), and the Analysis and Reporting Tool (ART). The Battlespace Division designs, develops, documents and deploys these tools. The Battlespace Division also delivers these products as an integrated suite of tools called Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB); the battlespace for JSE.
A typical day as a Management Analyst (Business Operations)-Journeyman may include:
- Supports the Battlespace Division Business Operations team
- Reviews emails and onboarding requests
- Works with Program Managers and Branch Heads to identify new personnel joining the team through a JIRA dashboard
- Coordinates with FSOs, IT, Bus Ops and supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding
- Provides administrative and management support to leadership and personnel (scheduling assistance, task trackers, data organization, division notes, leave calendar, supply orders, Fusion page updates, organizational/seating charts, etc.)
- Provides travel coordination and assistance for individuals and groups using DTS for authorizations and vouchers
- Applies JTR guidance, assists travelers on TDY and attends TAC meetings
- Assists the division head with data calls, purchases, fusion updates and meeting support
- Provides interview coordination and calendar updates for Branch Heads
- Maintains and develops onboarding documents, desk guides, spreadsheets, MIS updates, email distribution lists and security brief records
- Attends weekly division meetings to provide tasking status
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, scientific or business discipline OR Associate’s Degree with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of additional work experience (9 years total)
- Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- 3 years of professional experience
- The ability to work with a team
- The ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams
- Familiarity with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Word, Teams and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, attention to detail and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and document retention skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with the Defense Travel System
- Experience providing customer service for multiple personnel with differing personalities
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience using BASICS and DISS to support visit requests
- Experience with Infrastructure Business Operations Support (IBONS)
- Experience providing administrative support functions and conducting day to day business operations
- Experience supporting onboarding processes
- Experience conducting meeting and event coordination (planning, logistics, follow up etc.)
- Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and event activities while meeting deadlines
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to support business operations

Physical Environment And Working Conditions
The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
