About This Role
The USGA offers the Golfer Product Access (GPA) program to technology providers seeking to integrate USGA handicap data into their products and services via a series of APIs. The program is designed to support limited handicap‑related functionality within complementary golfer‑facing tools, enhancing the golfer experience.
We are looking for a relationship‑management focused, detail‑oriented professional to support the GPA program. The Manager, Affiliate Relationships & Programs will serve as the strategic and administrative lead for the program; serving as the key point of contact for both affiliates and technology vendors interested in accessing USGA handicap data through a series of APIs and/or participating in an affiliate marketing program. This role will focus on support, coordination and vendor interaction to foster a program that encourages ingenuity and innovation in the golfer product marketplace.
The ideal candidate will be tech‑savvy, bringing experience supporting different affiliate business models and executing third‑party technology vendors and affiliate relationships. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for oversight of vendor onboarding, annual review, and engagement to ensure proper attribution and usage of data is carried throughout the vendor application and/or service.
What You’ll Do
Program Administration / Support
- Manage affiliate relationships, including disseminating program information to interested vendors regarding the GPA program, review of application and agreements and maintaining a database of program participants details (customer base, product category, onboarding or lifecycle management etc.)
- Manage access to APIs through the various stages of the onboarding process
- Partner with Finance team to manage annual billing
- Create, structure and execute affiliate marketing models and channels
- Analyze and act on data, using logic to harvest and apply insights
- Provide general customer support
- Generate reports on current status of program (active vendors, inquiries, etc.)
- Maintain pages on about the program and authorized vendors
- Creating API documentation for customers
Technical Support
- Coordinate and participate in product review sessions with new and existing customers ensuring correct APIs are being used
- Promoting vendors into the next environment (sandbox, staging, production)
- Provide technical support to clients using API integrations
- Troubleshoot questions relating to API functionality and access
- Work with the technical team to ensure vendors have the necessary APIs
- Escalate bugs, development requests, API enhancements to the development team via Jira ticketing
Where You’ll Be
- This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday – Thursday.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years experience in similar role, including customer support or help desk roles
- Golf knowledge, including score posting, formats, allowances
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated understanding of APIs, integration processes, and underlying technologies
- Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and find effective solutions
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with a customer‑service orientation and ability to follow established procedures
- Proficient in support tools like HubSpot, Zendesk, or similar platforms
- Understanding of database structures and querying (i.e. Postgres)
- Understanding of SDKs
- Previous experience with Swagger pages is a plus

Salary Range
- Annual base salary: $65,000 – $85,000
- This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
In addition to your base compensation, the USGA provides competitive benefit offerings for all full‑time employees.
