We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent Canadian organization, headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area, with a strong growth trajectory driven by strategic acquisitions and market expansion.
This is a exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) seeking to transition into a manager-level role, leveraging their hands-on accounting expertise and operational experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to manage deadlines, support consolidations, and implement IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities and oversight:
- Leading the monthly and quarterly closing processes, including consolidation and reporting across multiple entities
- Managing technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards
- Supporting the implementation of accounting policies and process improvement initiatives
- Driving accuracy and timeliness in financial statement preparation and review
- Collaborating with internal teams including tax, external auditors, and business units
- Overseeing and mentoring direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous development
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal control procedures
Compensation
The Company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, and an annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details to be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
Requirements
- CPA designation required - ideally trained a major public accounting firm
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in corporate accounting and consolidations, ideally from a high volume environment
- Hands-on experience with IFRS standards and managing high transaction volumes
- Solid operational accounting fundamentals, including experience of month-end close procedures
- Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and proactive escalation abilities
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize effectively under pressure, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
