This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because

You are a hands-on engineering manager passionate about flawless store operations including POS, payments, clienteling, and reporting. You lead vendor squads, partner with Store Operations, and improve reliability. You have experience with distributed systems, microservices, and omnichannel retail.

A Day in the Life

• Own store technology delivery and operations.
• Lead feature development and oncall support.
• Launch and scale new stores and relocations.
• Integrate payments and clienteling platforms.
• Enable omnichannel store experiences.
• Measure and improve system performance and reliability.

To Land This Role

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on POS and clienteling app management.
• Knowledge of relational databases and messaging/event streaming.
• Proficiency with instrumentation, telemetry, and observability.
• Understanding of retail operations and omnichannel.
• Familiarity with payments and clienteling platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and AI/ML applications.

Leadership Skills

• Clear communication across functions.
• Willingness to engage hands-on with incidents and testing.
• Comfort with ambiguity and cross-functional program execution.
• Ability to set objectives and maintain quality and schedules.

Compensation Range

$150,000.00 USD - $190,000.00 USD based on experience and location.
