Role
Within the Industrial Engineering Department, Safran Transmission Systems is looking for a Manager to head the Special Processes Engineering Service.
He/She will be responsible for managing a team of about a dozen technicians and engineers, specialists and experts in Surface Treatments, Heat Treatments, and Non-Destructive Testing.
Main Missions
- Develop optimal business standards and drive skills development for today's and tomorrow's business.
- Provide Industrialization Pilots, Investment Pilots, and Manufacturing Support Managers with the most efficient business resources to achieve customer objectives.
- Ensure the qualification and surveillance of special processes used in internal and external production, to guarantee our quality requirements, particularly NADCAP.
Activities
- Act as a hierarchical manager
- Assign the necessary resources to Industrialization Pilots, Investment Pilots, and Manufacturing Support Managers to achieve the expected customer results
- Ensure the qualification and surveillance of special processes used in internal and external production, to guarantee our quality requirements, particularly NADCAP
- Ensure the industrialization of new investments in Colombes
- Identify business needs in relation to existing and future situations
- Conduct internal or external group benchmarks
- Guarantee the maturity level (MRL, TRL) of new processes within its scope
- Develop the skills of its business resources through relevant GPEC support (Forward-looking employment and skills management)
- Continuously improve business standards and tools for maximum efficiency
- Develop and ensure business consistency (tools, standards, reporting) with Safran Transmission Systems Poland and the Safran group
- Participate in the improvement of processes in which it is involved
- Act as a company representative within the Special Processes Group
HSE Activities:
- Ensure HSE rules and their application in his/her sectors, by setting an example

- Travel to parts suppliers and our plant in Poland

Technical Skills:
- Mastery of Special Processes: Heat Treatments, Surface Treatments, and Non-Destructive Testing used in internal and external manufacturing
- Knowledge of the Industrialization process
- Knowledge of the NADCAP accreditation principle
- Mastery of audit techniques
- Knowledge of the product and processes of our internal and external parts
