About

Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) is seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Manager, Marketing Communications to execute day‑to‑day marketing and communications efforts across the organization. This role creates and delivers clear, engaging content across digital channels—including social media, email, web, and mobile—to support member engagement, promote programs and events, and strengthen the Association’s brand. The manager works closely with internal stakeholders, translates organizational priorities into effective communications, supports integrated marketing efforts, and ensures accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all channels. The position also contributes to marketing communications planning, maintains production schedules, and tracks performance metrics to inform continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Copywriting

    • Write and produce content for social media, blogs, email campaigns, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency in tone, voice, and branding.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content that supports organizational initiatives and member engagement.
    • Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Social Media Management

    • Plan, create, schedule, and monitor social media content, managing engagement and audience growth.
    • Address member questions and feedback on social media promptly and professionally.
    • Analyze engagement trends and recommend adjustments to improve reach and interaction.
  • Website and App Updates

    • Update and maintain website and mobile app content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and a positive user experience.
    • Coordinate with other departments to gather content updates and ensure timely posting.

  • Email Marketing and E‑Newsletters

    • Track basic email campaign performance and suggest improvements to increase engagement.
  • Marketing Campaign and Event Support

    • Maintain an organized production schedule to ensure timely creation and delivery of communications across channels.

    • Monitor and report on basic performance metrics for social media, email, and website content, providing insights to improve campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional marketing experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with WordPress (or similar CMS) for website content updates.
  • Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing platforms for campaigns and newsletters.
  • Basic analytics skills to monitor email, web, and social media performance.
  • Proofreading and editing for clarity, grammar, and brand consistency.
  • Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), including content creation, scheduling, and engagement tracking.
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in associations, nonprofits, or membership‑based organizations.
  • Some photography experience.
