About

Our team is seeking an experienced Manager, Network & Telecom Services with a strong background in both network and telecommunications engineering and people leadership. This role requires a balanced mix of hands-on technical expertise and proven experience managing onshore and offshore teams.

Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is highly desirable, including vendor management, SLA governance, and participation in RFP processes.

This is a hybrid role based in our Beverly / Edgewater Park, NJ office.

Role Overview

The Manager, Network & Telecom Services is responsible for the design, delivery, and 24x7 operation of the enterprise network and voice infrastructure across corporate offices, distribution centers, and retail locations.

This role ensures the stability, resiliency, security, and scalability of all network and telecom systems, including:

  • WAN, LAN, WLAN
  • SD-WAN
  • Voice / VoIP
  • Cloud connectivity

You will lead a blended delivery model consisting of internal engineers, contractors, and offshore MSP partners, while partnering closely with Architecture, Information Security, Service Delivery, and Operations to execute modernization initiatives and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop internal engineers, contractors, and offshore MSP teams
  • Drive accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Define goals, manage workload distribution, and oversee on-call processes
  • Support professional development and team performance management

Network & Telecom Operations

  • Oversee design, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise network and telecom infrastructure
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and capacity through proactive monitoring and analytics
  • Provide technical oversight across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, voice, and security services
  • Serve as the escalation point for major incidents and critical outages

Architecture, Strategy & Modernization

  • Partner with Architecture and Security to define standards, roadmaps, and lifecycle strategies
  • Champion resiliency, automation, and failover initiatives across environments
  • Drive modernization efforts aligned with enterprise strategy

Project & Service Delivery

  • Lead network and telecom projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Security, and Application teams
  • Govern change, incident, and problem management aligned with ITIL principles
  • Oversee root cause analysis (RCA) and remediation efforts

Vendor & MSP Management

  • Manage MSPs, offshore partners, and carriers through structured governance and SLAs
  • Lead QBRs, performance reviews, and service improvement initiatives
  • Participate in RFPs and vendor selection processes
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance on renewals and cost optimization

Financial, Governance & Compliance

  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor scorecards
  • Build business cases and ROI models for technology investments
  • Monitor and report KPIs (availability, MTTR, SLA compliance, cost optimization)
  • Ensure audit readiness, security compliance, and regulatory adherence

Technical Environment

  • Routing & Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, VoIP
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Infoblox, F5
  • Enterprise network operations in large, distributed environments
