Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Lead Management: Manage incoming leads, ensuring prompt follow-up and qualification, and supporting the business development team.
- Research Initiatives: Leverage online resources, lead tools, AI, and industry platforms to pinpoint potential long-term partners and project opportunities.
- CRM Oversight: Maintain and update the CRM database with relevant information, assist in data mining to spot new business opportunities.
- Market Insights: Collect and analyze market data, trends, and forecasts to guide strategic decisions and targeting efforts.
- Competitive Research: Regularly analyze competitor activity to inform our go-to-market strategies.
- Relationship Management: Foster existing client relationships with architects, engineers, and economic development contacts through consistent engagement.
- Executive Collaboration: Provide essential support to Project Executives and VPs in business development efforts, including research and outreach tracking.
Marketing & Brand Development:
- Marketing Coordination: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that outreach and media messaging reflect business development goals.
- Social Media Strategy: Support and enhance our social media presence across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Content Creation: Assist in developing marketing materials, press releases, and newsletters to amplify our brand visibility.
- Digital Management: Help oversee our website to ensure a compelling brand narrative across all digital channels.
- Campaign Implementation: Contribute to executing marketing campaigns that align with our mission and business objectives.
Proposals & Presentations:
- Proposal Assistance: Aid in preparing proposal materials and presentations for client engagements.
- Presentation Support: Join internal BD meetings, assisting with material preparation and note-taking.
- Collaboration with Pre-Construction Teams: Work alongside Business Development and Preconstruction teams to ensure proposal content is up-to-date and persuasive.
Events & Coordination:
- Calendar Management: Keep track of regional BD calendars to ensure awareness of meetings, events, and deadlines.
- Event Coordination: Assist with organizing industry-related events, including tradeshows and client engagements.
- Networking Representation: Represent BD at networking events and coordinate partnerships with trade organizations.
Cross-Functional Communication:
- Internal Liaison: Facilitate communication among BD, marketing, and operations teams for a unified pursuit strategy.
- Internal Marketing Support: Advocate for internal brand initiatives that resonate with our company culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or business development coordination.
- Background in construction, real estate, engineering, or professional services is a plus.
- Outstanding communication skills: writing, speaking, and presentation.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (such as Insightly) and business development tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confidence with technology-driven marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Attention to detail along with the ability to interpret market research and data.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Creative problem-solver with a talent for storytelling and relationship-building.
