Manager of Data Engineering

The opportunity:

In this pivotal role, you will design and implement analytics solutions that deliver substantial business value. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of data and analytics professionals, stakeholders, and management to ensure effective translation of business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of workstreams while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Engage daily with clients, actively participating in working sessions to identify further service opportunities.
• Implement resource plans and budgets while effectively managing engagement economics.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge.

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Lead the creation of scalable data engineering solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Oversee the architectural design of complex cloud analytics solutions to align with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Drive end-to-end development of data pipelines, utilizing Databricks and other cloud services.
• Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into digestible formats.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering focused on cloud solutions and analytics.
• Proven expertise with Databricks and familiarity with Spark for processing big data.
• Strong experience in building data architecture, particularly in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL.

• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.
