Your Role

Teradata is on the lookout for an experienced Manager of Interactive Visual Design to join our dynamic Design Team. This pivotal role involves collaborating with developers, product teams, strategists, writers, and editors to create impactful digital marketing experiences across web, social media, paid media, and event platforms. Here, you'll combine exceptional brand design skills with strategic insights, cross-functional teamwork, and mentorship of junior and mid-level designers.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Mentorship

  • Guide and support junior and mid-level designers by providing constructive feedback, fostering skill development, and elevating the overall quality of the team's work.
  • Encourage a collaborative, high-performing design culture and contribute to the enhancement of design processes across teams.

Strategy & Big-Picture Thinking

  • Influence design strategy to ensure digital experiences align with overarching marketing goals and user needs.
  • Collaborate with the UX researcher to analyze usability studies, behavioral data, and testing results, translating insights into meaningful design improvements and strategic direction.

Digital Experience Design

  • Craft visually compelling, on-brand layouts for websites, landing pages, social media content, and event platforms (including Cvent for webinars and live demos).
  • Develop intuitive wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes grounded in UX best practices and responsive design principles.
  • Ensure consistency across platforms by utilizing existing design systems and contributing to their ongoing development.

Systems, Architecture & Implementation

  • Build and maintain user-friendly, scalable design, content, and media library structures to facilitate cross-team workflows.
  • Work alongside the development team to ensure visual and interaction designs are executed accurately and function as intended.
  • Construct pages using existing HTML/CSS modules while applying innovative problem-solving and design thinking when resources are limited.

Collaboration

  • Engage with product teams, content strategists, developers, SEO specialists, and marketing partners to define and deliver user-focused design solutions.
  • Work with multiple creative agencies (UX, Digital, Creative) and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and direction.

Your Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in designing digital experiences for enterprise-level organizations and leading design teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A compelling online portfolio showcasing your digital design, UX thinking, and multi-platform projects.
  • Advanced skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and associated workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Frontify (or similar brand management systems) to manage design systems, brand guidelines, and shared asset libraries.
  • Deep understanding of design systems, information architecture, UX best practices, responsive design, branding, and multi-channel digital content strategy.
  • Proven mentorship skills, exceptional communication, and a strong ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Comfortable with HTML/CSS and modular page-building frameworks.
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong customer/user advocacy when creating and presenting designs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving instincts.

  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, and tech industry environments.
  • Expertise in UX/UI design.
  • Fluency in digital accessibility and WCAG standards.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and user-testing tools.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices.

Pay Rate

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments related to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, based on company financial performance and individual contributions.
