R&D Manager

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead product development and commercialization initiatives, taking new products from concept through full-scale production.

This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing environment, requiring strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to execute with speed and precision. A strong background in food science is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Commercialization

• Lead end-to-end commercialization from concept through launch
• Oversee product trials, scale-up, and production readiness
• Ensure products are manufacturable, scalable, and cost-effective

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner across R&D, operations, quality, and commercial teams
• Align product specifications, cost targets, and timelines
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact internally

Process Optimization & Technical Support

• Analyze production data and troubleshoot product/process issues
• Improve formulations, yields, and operational efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to food safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Partner with QA on validation and product specifications

Project Management

• Manage multiple product launches and timelines simultaneously
• Develop project plans, risk assessments, and documentation
• Support costing and feasibility analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science (strongly preferred), Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
• 3–5+ years of R&D experience within food manufacturing
• 3–5+ years of leadership or project leadership experience
• Strong expertise in formulation, scale-up, and commercialization
• Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
