Product Managers are tech‑savvy pioneers, with one eye on what’s new and the other on what’s next. At Capital One Canada we start with the customer in mind and develop cutting‑edge products that serve their needs. We’re all‑in on the cloud and leaders in the adoption of open‑source, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containers. We build our own products and release them with speed and agility.
Product Managers are dedicated problem‑solvers who leverage big data, agile principles, and human insights to re‑imagine the way people interact with money – creating experiences that simplify and enhance our customers’ lives.
Examples of Impact
- Provide customers with relevant details about their account, conveniently within the mobile app.
- Give customers the confidence to apply without rejection with Quick Check, our credit card eligibility tool.
- Create new money movement solutions to enable customers to pay their bill quickly and effortlessly.
- Manage and scale data and machine learning platforms across the organization to deliver smart, personalized experiences.
- Create easy digital solutions that help customers address fraud and easily get back to using their card.
- Develop assistance programs to help customers who are struggling with their payments.
Your Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas:

- You’ll leverage your understanding of the end‑to‑end customer experience to ground and build product vision and strategy

- You’ll define key success metrics and measurable outcomes that matter for your domain and prioritize work to achieve those outcomes across multiple teams or problem statements
- You’ll use quantitative data to effectively refine investment decisions and quantify value creation

- You’ll explore domain‑relevant technology to support discovery and apply learnings to push the boundaries of what you think is possible today
- You’ll foster an active partnership with technology partners to collectively define destination state and go after shared objectives
Integrated Problem Solving
- You’ll work in multiple problem spaces and appropriately prioritize problems on your roadmap to maximize impact
- You’ll work effectively with SMEs to understand materiality of risk, working with them to find solutions that achieve the right product outcomes and mitigate risks appropriately

Basic Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of Product Management experience
- Experience creating and delivering customer‑centric, data‑driven product vision and strategy
- A track record of delivering results with significant business and customer impacts
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience in financial services, technology or operations
- 6+ years of Product Management experience
