We're hiring a hands-on Engineering Leader to own and scale a critical cloud-based healthcare product, leading a team of 10-15 engineers while driving both technical direction and delivery.

This is not a "people manager only" role. We're looking for someone who still operates as a technical authority-leading architecture, guiding code quality, and setting engineering standards-while also owning team performance, hiring, and execution.

Job Details

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of 10-15 engineers (full-stack, backend, DevOps)
• Own technical direction, architecture, and delivery for a modern SaaS platform
• Drive code quality, design reviews, and engineering standards
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Customer teams
• Manage full team lifecycle: hiring, performance, growth, and retention
• Balance feature delivery, scalability, and technical debt
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.)
• Implement AI across:
  • Code generation
  • Testing
  • Documentation
• Define best practices for secure and responsible AI usage
• Measure impact on velocity, quality, and developer experience

Must have Skills

• 10+ years in software engineering
• 5+ years managing teams of 8+ engineers
• Proven experience as a hands-on technical leader (not just a facilitator)
• Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Background in SaaS / distributed systems / APIs / microservices
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.)
• Ability to own a product end-to-end, not just contribute

Nice to have

• Experience building cloud-native healthcare platforms
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
