About the role
As a seasoned US Accounting professional, you will be responsible for leading financial reporting, driving process efficiencies, and managing a high-performing team. You will have exposure to US-based stakeholders, complex accounting environments, and business-critical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze financial statements across multiple entities/locations - Manage month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations - Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies - Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership - Oversee accounting areas such as cash, treasury, bank reconciliations, and prepaids - Support audit requirements with proper documentation and workpapers - Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: - Lead and mentor a team of accountants; ensure quality and timely deliverables - Manage workload allocation, deadlines, and performance expectations - Act as a key point of contact for US stakeholders and clients - Communicate proactively on deliverables, risks, and timelines
Required Skills & Experience: - 8+ years of experience in US Accounting / R2R / GL - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting - Experience in team management (must-have) - Hands-on with account reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting - Exposure to accounting tools (NetSuite / Quick Books preferred) - Advanced Excel and analytical skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
