Overview

The Managing Director will oversee all business operations, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with corporate standards. You will define and execute strategic plans, manage key customer relationships, and lead a high‑performing team. This role combines leadership, business development, and operational management, with a strong focus on industrial, utility, and IT sectors.

Key Responsibilities And Activities Include

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the regional business strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Drive revenue growth and market share through innovative solutions and customer‑focused initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities in Austria and the CEE region.

Operational Management

  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including sales, project delivery, and after‑sales service.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements across projects.
  • Optimise processes for efficiency and profitability.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Set clear performance objectives and ensure continuous professional development.

Customer & Partner Relations

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers, utilities, industrial clients, and IT companies.
  • Coordinate and support partner companies in the CEE region.
  • Represent the company at industry events and in negotiations with major stakeholders.

Financial Accountability

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the Austrian entity.
  • Ensure accurate cost calculations and financial reporting.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field; MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within electrical engineering, power systems, or industrial solutions.
  • Strong consulting and project management skills in the field of electrical engineering.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
  • Strong knowledge of either power conversion technology, switchgear, batteries, inverters, rectifiers, UPS systems or general power electronics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in German and very good English.
