A respected, privately owned manufacturer in the underground mining support sector is preparing for its next chapter of leadership. After more than a decade of steady growth, disciplined operations, and long-term partnerships with major mining houses, the business is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to step into the role of Managing Director.

This is a role for someone who brings depth of experience, a steady hand, and a leadership style shaped by real operational exposure. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Focus Areas

• Lead full manufacturing operations across multiple facilities.
• Maintain and improve production efficiency, quality, and output.
• Oversee financial performance, cost control, and capital expenditure.
• Work closely with an experienced management team.
• Uphold a disciplined, respectful, high‑performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and systems.
• Provide visible, hands‑on leadership on the factory floor.
• Maintain strong relationships with major mining clients.

Minimum Requirements

• BTech or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• GCC (Factories) advantageous.

Experience Profile

• 10–15 years in manufacturing operations (heavy engineering, metals, mining equipment, or similar).
• Proven leadership in a technical, high‑output environment.
• Experience managing operational teams.
• Broad technical logic beyond pure mechanical engineering.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

Package & Remuneration

• R 1,500,000 - R 2,000,000 Annually
