Mandarin Speaking: General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Job Purpose

The GL Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role supports reliable financial reporting and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger in line with accounting standards
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries (accruals, provisions, reclassifications)
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items
• Support financial reporting and audit processes
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation
• Support VAT reconciliations and submissions
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Accounting or equivalent
• 3–5 years GL or accounting experience
• SAP experience advantageous
