Manufacturing Engineering Manager/in (m/f/d)
In this role, you are indispensable as an important link between our manufacturing partners and development. You always have your ear and eye on the manufacturing processes of our manufacturing partners and incorporate the experiences and findings gained into our development. In case of deviations from the standards for manufacturing and assembly that you have developed with R&D, you will intervene immediately and correctively with the manufacturing partner. Your Role
You are in our technology team:
- A know-how carrier and contact person for all specialist areas regarding all matters concerning the manufacturing and assembly of our machines.
You are responsible for:
- High-quality manufacturing and assembly of our machines.
- Cost monitoring and cost optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Participation in design reviews regarding the feasibility of constructions in manufacturing and assembly.
- Monitoring our manufacturing partners for compliance with manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Creating or providing technical documents and information for manufacturing and assembly.
- Steering the manufacturing and assembly of prototypes and experimental setups at our manufacturing partners.
- Coordination of the procurement of parts for prototypes and experimental setups.
- Coordination of procurement processes with and between manufacturing partners.
You work independently with cross-functional teams in the areas of technology, production, and quality assurance, both internally and with our manufacturing partners, to achieve the quality and manufacturing process goals you have collected and formulated.
You are the central technical contact person for all internal specialist departments and for our manufacturing partners in all matters of manufacturing and assembly.
You provide support during internal and external quality audits.
You are detail-oriented, analytical, and feel comfortable in a high-tech, cleanroom-oriented environment. You are enthusiastic about implementing demanding machine developments into manufacturing and assembly.
Your Qualifications
Then we expect from you:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 or more years of experience in a semiconductor, cleanroom, or precision cleaning environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of FOUPs, semiconductor handling standards (SEMI), and contamination control is also advantageous.
- A strong ability for problem-solving and data analysis.
- Practical experience with the manufacturing and assembly of automation systems is highly desirable.
- As our manufacturing partners are mainly located in Eastern Germany and Eastern Europe, as well as in Asia and the USA in the future, you should be prepared for travel (typically 1-2 weeks stay, several times a year) to these regions.
- To enable communication with our manufacturing partners and international colleagues, you should be fluent in our company language, English. Another foreign language is an advantage.
