I am partnering with an innovative medical device manufacturer to appoint a Team Leader within their Manufacturing Engineering function. The company operates in an international environment with a strong focus on process stability, continuous improvement, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture.

This is a leadership role with genuine technical depth. You will take both disciplinary and professional responsibility for your team while driving the definition, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping how the business delivers on its manufacturing ambitions.

The Role

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team through coaching, resource planning, and professional development
• Define, implement, and continuously optimize efficient and stable manufacturing processes
• Lead improvement initiatives and drive measurable gains in process performance
• Take responsibility for prototype runs, feasibility studies, and process and plant approvals
• Analyze production KPIs including OEE, scrap rates, cycle times, and downtime
• Conduct root cause analyses using methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, and RCA for process deviations
• Evaluate process capabilities and derive data-based corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare reports, decision-making documents, and business cases for management
• Ensure process documentation is maintained and continuously improved
• Coordinate prioritization and resource allocation across projects and tasks

What They Are Looking For

• Diploma in process engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Several years of relevant manufacturing engineering or industrial manufacturing experience
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team
• Completed Lean Six Sigma training program
• Strong analytical skills with confident use of production KPIs and data-driven decision making
• Structured, solution-oriented working approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Very good German language skills and good English, both spoken and written
