Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee operations at their facility in George, Western Cape, ZA. This is a hands-on, in-office position critical to ensuring efficient and high-quality production. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material sourcing and production planning to quality control and finished goods distribution. Your leadership will be crucial in driving operational excellence, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee supply chain logistics.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, train, and motivate the production team.
- Monitor and control operational costs and manage departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, sales, and logistics.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.
